This file is a great way to introduce reading strategies and elements of fiction. As a PowerPoint file, you can show this to your students using a projector and/or SmartBoard. You could also upload the file to your class computers and have students rotate around to view the presentation.
The main resource for this presentation was THE READER'S HANDBOOK by Great Source, but you could take the references out of the slides to make it your own. We ask that you NOT alter the last slide so that credit may be given to Great Source for the information within the PowerPoint presentation. Thanks!

I have taught in SC and TN, in poor schools and affluent schools, public schools and private schools, and even elementary and middle schools. I also lead professional development workshops for colleagues on such topics as differentiated instruction, civic education, authentic assessment, and learning-centered schools.
