This is literally like having ten games in one pack. It has three sets of cards. Prefix cards, Suffix Cards, and Word Building Cards for Root Words and their matching prefixes and suffixes. Each card set has three activities of their own and I have included a new activity which uses all three sets of cards! (Making it the 10th activity!)
Fulfills CCSS.ELA-Literacy.RF.3.3a Identify and know the meaning of the most common prefixes and derivational suffixes.

These cards are created in two different sizes. The small sets will save you ink and paper but many teachers have indicated to me that they preferred to have larger sets to make bulletin board displays. So, that's why I added the larger versions. Great and colorful. Love the images. Instead of cutting them, I plan to have students work in cooperative groups of three. One will write the prefix, one the root, and one the suffix for the set of prefix root word and suffix match. They will make their own set of cards on post cards. :)

I had this printed and laminated, and use it a lot with my older clients. I love that we can flip through, sort cards, and at a glance look at a few different prefixes and suffixes at the same time. We use other games to go through the cards (i.e. Jenga) and we're both having a good time learning! Thanks!!!

Hi tweetp36, thank you for buying my Prefix, Suffix and Root word Bundle! I really want you to have access to your purchased files. You may want to try updating your Adobe Reader. Here is what TpT tells us to do: First, if the PDF you purchased is blurry and showing black smudges, you need to upgrade your ADOBE READER is all. If you are on a Mac and still having the same issue, it's absolutely because you are still opening it with PREVIEW and not ADOBE READER. To solve, when you go to open the file, you need to actively select to open it with Adobe Reader, because the Mac will automatically open it with Preview if you don't say otherwise. So in your Finder Window, highlight the file and then click on the tool in the top of the Finder Window that looks like a sprocket or something, then choose Open With and then Other and then select Adobe Reader. Let us know it's solved with a follow up message so we know you're all set.
If the file you purchased is not opening for you at all, it's likely because you do not have the right application to open it! For example, to open ZIP FILES on a PC, you need something like WINZIP (http://www.winzip.com/trialpay.htm) to open it. If you have the old version of Microsoft Office but purchased a DOCX file or a PPTX file, you just need to download and install the converter here (http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=3). If you don't recognize the file extension on the file you purchased, do a Google search for "How to open a .notebook file" for example.

I fixed them and I also did the following:
The entire file is now in one Pdf document and no longer a zipped file.
In the third document, I removed the small cards but kept the larger cards. I did this to reduce the file size so that I could upload it as a pdf. (Everyone seems to prefer the larger cards for that activity anyway). - Nyla.

I just saw on Facebook that you increased the size of the prefix cards to four on a page. PLEASE tell me this will also be updated in the prefix/suffixc bundle I purchased. The cards are just too small for direct instruction purposes. I would really appreciate it!
