This 70 slide animated PowerPoint has fun animated clip art to teach the preterit tense with the rules to when you would use it to help transition to teach preterit versus imperfect instruction. It teaches the conjugations of regular AR, ER and IR verbs with a Note about the CAR, GAR, ZAR rule. Also included are how some verbs change meaning from present tense to preterit tense and time expressions that indicate use of the preterite such as hace tres dias, la semana pasada, ayer, etc. After the tutorial there is a 20 slide practice segment for AR verbs and a 20 slide practice segment for ER and IR verbs.
