Printable beginning reading books that cover: word families, CVC words, phonics, sight words, and short vowel sounds
Teacher Tam's Beginning Readers Set 1 Books for guided reading It has 10 phonics books for guided reading that focus on three-letter words, sight words, and short vowel sounds. Set 1 is for use in preschool and kindergarten. Set 2 is for kindergarten and first grade levels. Set 3 readers are on a first grade level. All of the beginning readers are phonics-based. Each book includes 4 pages to copy and 12 pages of print for the child. The entire set is 40 pages.

This is a very cute book with full-color illustrations and a simple, repetitive vocabulary for early readers. Great use of CVC word pattern.

What an cute idea. A fun way to teach younger children the joy of reading. During the week read the story at circle time and then make copies for each child to bring home at the end of the week.

I have been teaching for almost 13 years, most of them spent teaching pre-K and kindergarten. I also have experience teaching up to 3rd grade. I have used my love of reading to develop a set of 30 phonics-based beginning reading books for use in preschool-first grade. In addition, I have developed sets of reading games and math games that can be used in the classroom or as take-home activities and can be adjusted to address various skill levels. They have proven to be a success in my own classroom and I'm excited to share them on Teachers Pay Teachers!
