Easily incorporate literacy skills into math or math into your morning message with these fun and engaging math story problems! There are 21 story problems that cover concepts including: addition, subtraction, fair share, equal parts and symmetry. All of the story problems are "March Themed" with corresponding clip art and manipulatives for children to use while thinking through the problems. An example is also included on how to work through the problems. A cover is included for the student response book so you can work through one story problem a day. So fun!

What months do you have completed so far? I love your packet ideas. Do you start with March-through summer?

I think March - through summer is what I have right now! I have plans to complete the other months, but they keep getting pushed to the back burner!

I would love to see an August/September problem solving pack. I currently do a math journal, but want to change it up for next year and I love your problem solving packs. Do you think you will be working on a complete year of problem solving?

Yes, I do plan on creating problem solving through the year -- geared toward Kindergarten, of course. August and September will be very simple -- colors, shapes, numbers, counting -- just getting to know the math journals. If you have suggestions of what you would like to see included, I would love to hear them! Thanks for checking in!

This is my ninth year teaching and I love what I do! I adore teaching kindergarteners to read, write, and calculate! I have a master's degree in reading education, bachelors degrees in elementary education and Norwegian, and endorsements in ELL, kindergarten and have a reading credential. I love seeing the growth that happens each year in kindergarten! I hope you find something you could use in my shop.
