This Promethean ActivInspire activity is a sort for long- and short-vowel sounds in CVC and CVCe words. You may use the activity as an open sort and as a closed sort, drawing students' attention to the vowel sound. This is primarily a phonemic awareness activity. There is a hidden reveal feature to display the word's spelling, which you may wish to use to focus students' attention on how the final -e changes the vowel to a long sound (phonics)
