PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Included in this file are two single page printables which students can use to practice distinguishing when the use of the subject pronoun "on" would be appropriate as well as selecting the correct verb conjugation in the present tense to use with this subject pronoun. There is also a translation opportunity included, and answer keys for both pages.

One file I have used as practice and the other as a quiz, but you may assign them to your students however best suits your needs. This product includes both the ready-to-print PDF files, and editable Word document versions for your convenience.

This is good practice, except we teach the pronoun ON right away when we start conjugating verbs. These activities are for more advanced students. If you reteach the pronoun later these would be beneficial, but for me the students already have a handle on ON by the time they would have the vocab to do these pages.

I'm curious which grade you teach. In Ontario, the pronoun "on" has been part of the grade 8 curriculum for some time. I indicated in the description that it is for higher grades (8-10). Students who have French for only one period a day often are not introduced to this concept early, as you suggest.

In addition, your comment confuses me, since half of this product (a whole worksheet) focuses much more on reinforcing the usage of this subject pronoun rather that purely conjugation. Granted, I've included a requirement to use it in context which will usually involve conjugation, but it's up to you as a teacher to decide what you'll focus on with your students.
