This is a great resource to teach a propaganda unit. This resource includes a very detailed and in-depth PowerPoint that included over 10 propaganda techniques, with examples for each slide, and an example question at the end. A pre-test is included so you can assess, so you know what the students already know. It also includes a graphic organizer that has students working together in newspapers and commercials and matching them to the propaganda type. Lastly, after the unit is taught their is a hands-on activity involving the students creating a cube of propaganda techniques. This lesson is great fun and the kids don't realize they are learning!!!
Useful for students to know, but with the common core standards focusing on argumentation instead of persuasion for middle grades, not as helpful now. Would be great for lower grades.

What came in the download was disappointing! There were no lesson plans, just a couple of word documents, a powerpoint and and actitvity. I could have created the items in the package, very unimpressed; a waste of $8.
