Another component to a Satire Unit, this presentation describes the different types of propaganda from Plain Folks to Glittering Generalities. I often use this in the teaching of Animal Farm or 1984 on the high school level, but it can be used at any time during a Satire Unit.

A former Advertising Account Executive, this is my4th year teaching 10th grade English at Oakland Mills High School in Howard County, Maryland. I teach a diverse group of students from review level (below grade level) to honors (above grade level). I am also involved with an English after school Academic Enrichment program to help students to pass the Maryland State Assessments. Currently, I also tutor students privately outside of school.
