Students in pre-algebra or algebra one will enjoy this project about the properties of real numbers. Two different versions of the project are provided in which students draw visual models to illustrate each of the properties of the real number system. Also included is a handout that lists the properties of the real number system, such as the commutative and associative properties, that my students studied, but a few extra lines were included in case your text covers other properties.
