This is a free collection of wall art you might consider printing, laminating, and hanging on the walls of your classroom. You might even open them on a SmartBoard screen and ask students in your Life Skills/Social Development class to write what they think these proverbs mean to them.
I used six proverbs including:
"Teachers open the door, but you must enter by yourself." (Chinese proverb);
"Write injuries in sand, kindnesses in marble." (French proverb);
"Speaking comes by nature, silence by understanding." (German proverb);
"It takes two to quarrel, but only one to end it." (Spanish proverb);
"The beautiful is less what one sees than what one dreams." (Belgian proverb);
"Wonder is the beginning of wisdom." (Greek proverb)
I hope these pieces are helpful!
