Comprehension Connection (TpT Seller)
I like the overall appearance, but my comments will be focused more on the content. First of all, there were two pages for the puns in the book...not that many in one chapter. With vocabulary, you might check out the book, Bringing Words to Life...tier two words are most important and having students use them in multiple ways helps them stick. Looking in dictionary...not so much. Organization is mixed up...Put all the skills/strategy work for Chapter 4 together. The unit skipped around. Finally, there is still no answer key included and the feedback for it was given 1 1/2 years ago. Please consider editing your file.

This is a terrific unit - one I would have tried to create if I'd had the time. The activities and questions require students to reflect as well as be creative. They also mesh with our state's language arts standards and benchmarks. Great job!!

No answer key and no response from seller when requesting one! A good starting point if you are willing to spend some time looking up answers and eliminating too easy vocabulary words like "librarian", "coupon", and "opposites". Nice variety of activities and use of graphic organizers.

Can you email me with what you would specifically like in addition to what was provided at indiansprings18@yahoo.com? Thanks! The easy vocab words give students a chance to practice writing the meanings in their own words (which mine always struggle with). Many of the answers would vary based on student opinions or examples. I always assume a teacher will read the book with the students and therefore not need an answer key! Please let me know what you need...
