This is a bundled unit on Quadratics I use in Algebra II. Much of the material could also be modified for use in Algebra I or Precalc depending on your curriculum guidelines. Formal evaluations include three unit quizzes and a unit test.
I have also included a worksheet that explains how the a-, b, and c- terms of a quadratic effect the graph of the parabola (roots, vertex, axis of symmetry, direction, width).
Finally, I included a real-world lab I�ve used in my Algebra I, Algebra II, and Precalc classes on quadratics and projectile motion. It involves dropping tissue boxes off a ledge (stairway, stadium) and based on the time it takes to hit the ground, the students determine the initial height. By averaging everyone�s calculated height, my classes are usually extremely accurate.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
10 years teaching experience in all classes from Pre-Algebra through AP Calculus III. Recently I have been working with integrating interactive technology into the math classroom. This inlcludes an interactive whiteboard, wireless writing pads (4 in the class) and individual student response devices to allow for instantaneous anonymous feedback on a topic.
