Part I is a general introduction to quadrilaterals including complete & clear definitions, a visual hierarchical chart listing the features and showing them visually using standard markings (tick marks, arrow heads and right-angle boxes). Also includes a worksheet (with key) of true/false and short answer questions relating the quadrilaterals and their features (including diagonals).
Part II includes a graphic organizer for students to fill-in with diagrams, labelling and word descriptions of the 7 quadrilaterals. A full key is included along with a version to be given as a short quiz.
Part III includes a detailed 2-page handout that clearly lays out the strategies and options for showing/proving that a quadrilateral is a certain type. Relevant definitions and formulas are reviewed and a detailed example and solution is given. Also, two worksheets are provided (with keys) to give students practice showing/proving that a quadrilateral is a certain type.
