Dear Teachers,
This product has pre-assessments for first grade common core math standards. I use these to figure out what my students know prior to teaching the skill. I also use the information to form guided math groups. I have included a simple and easy to use chart to organize your students into guided math groups but also a one page description of my guided math time. You can use these pre-assessments even if you do not use a guided math format.

These are so great! I wish you would make this and the assessments for 2nd grade as well. We are required to give math benchmarks now and our curriculum does not have any.

Oops! I just read this! Making a second grade one is on my to do list. There are many similar standards and many of my old Ohio 1st fade standards are now second grade so I have many newsletters and assessments already made. My goal is to finish all first grade assessments by the end of August and then start in on second grade.
