Questioning is an essential tool for success in reading. The following activity can be used to launch introducing the reading skill of asking "questions." Students learn to ask higher level types of questions as they read. They also think about their types of questions. There are some opportunities for students to practice the skill of Questioning with this activity in teams, cooperatively, or in partners. Then there is also an opportunity for students to practice the skill of Questioning independently. Teachers can add in whatever title of story they want to have their students apply the skill of Questioning to.
