This is a strip of questions for learning and comprehension that can be cut into two. They are long and thin so they can easily be taped onto each students' desk.
These questions are to promote learning and comprehension during lessons and cooperative learning activities. It is important to model and teach these questions first. Students can use these to ask the teacher a question or to ask others for help.
This is an alternative to "I don't get it".
Here are a few example questions:
How did you get _____?
I don’t understand _________ part/step/word.
Could you repeat ______ part or step?
Why did you do _____? (multiplication, subtraction, etc.)?
What part of the problem let you know to do that?
