This is a short quiz on identifying and using transitional words and phrases. I allow my students to use their notebooks for the quiz, as I don't expect them to "memorize" all the transitional words. You can change it to a regular quiz though. Students will identify transitions in writing, continue "stories" using transitions, and then revise a paragraph adding transitions where needed.
