This mini-lesson teaches how to use quotation marks in dialogue. It was designed to be used in small group, but could also be used as independent work or as a literacy center. The first section defines the rules of quotation marks in dialogue, then there is a "try it" section where students apply the new skill, and the final piece involves cutting and sorting sentence pieces to properly arrange quotation marks, commas, etc. in a line of dialogue.
