This mini unit is a great way to introduce the r-controlled vowel. It contains an original story that features Bossy R and his impact on vowels and why they need him sometimes! This unit also has a writing activity, word sort, scrambled sentences, scrambled words, and a Bossy R Game to be used in centers! This thematic unit helps students succeed in reading and decoding words with r-contolled vowel pairs through fun, engaging activities. Enjoy!
