This is the paper version of my free smart board activity Race to the Top. This is a game that reinforces sight words and graphing skills at the same time. The students will make predictions of what word they think will make it to the finish line first. They roll the cube, read the word, and record the word rolled on the graph. They continue until one word reaches the finish line.

28 cubes with the sight words for each week on them

I actually use the Lucy Calkins list- it's very similar to Dolch and Fry- a lot of the same words. You can check out her list on her Teachers College of Reading and Writing Project website. Go to reading assessments and it's her high frequency word lists.
