**This product is designed to follow my Rainbow Words product...once students learn all 200 words from that product, they would move onto the phrases in this product**

Teaching and learning high frequency phrases doesn't have to be boring when teaching and learning Rainbow Phrases! This 94-page package has everything you need to set up the teaching and learning of 200 high frequency phrases in your primary classroom. Teaching high frequency words and phrases is a Common Core standard in K and 1st grade, but this system is ideal as a 2nd and/or 3rd grade sight word instruction and/or intervention and progress monitoring. Check out the Preview to see all there is in this comprehensive year-long program...you will need nothing else to teach, assess and track high frequency phrase learning in your classroom. This package includes the following:

-200 Large Word Cards (10 PPTs per Rainbow Phrase color - print options include 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, or 9 words per page)
-10 Small Rainbow Phrase Sheets for Small Word Rings (one per RP color)
-10 Word Check Sheets for Assessment Documentation (one per RP color)
-10 Student "Looks-At" Word Lists (one per RP color)

This package is a large file size, so I have compressed it into a .zip file. On page 6 of the Preview, I have included step by step directions for HOW-TO unzip zipped files. If you have a Mac, click on the apple icon in the upper right corner of page 4.

This is an amazing system and I am positive you will not be disappointed..please read the ratings and feedback for the Rainbow Words system if you would like a glimpse into how teachers and students love it. Thank you for looking and/or purchasing! I appreciate your business! After you purchase, open, and dig in, leave me feedback on the Comments and Ratings tab to earn your TpT credits.

Thank You!

So I LOVE your rainbow words, and I have more then 1/2 my students very close to mastering all of them. They love working there way up the rainbow. Anyways, I purchase this hoping to use it as my students have completely mastered their rainbow words then they can move on to the rainbow phrases. My question is would it be possible to get the small ring words in a doc file? I am going to change the colors around to match the color paper I can get at my local wal-mart, and unfortunately mine doesn't have all those colors. I know I was able to do this with the rainbow words since you included doc files, I was hoping I would be able to tweak these to. Is this possible?

This is a single user license. However, if you like to adapt it grade wide or site wide, you can buy more single user licenses for half price. You can either buy 1 @ $8.50 and 4 @ $4.25 in one purchase or you can buy 1 @ $8.50 now and buy more at $4.25 at a later date, as long as you use the same log-in infrmation.

Hi Jen,
I've already purchased the Rainbow Words kit, I and love it. I am considering the phrases as well, but I have a question. How do you determine if students have 'passed' a level? Do students have to read the phrases within a certain time frame?
Thanks,
Wendy

That's a great question. I would use whatever the fluency benchmarks are in your school or district, depending on your grade and time of year. For example, 2nd grade winter fluency benchmark is around 50 words per minute...so count up however many words there are in the first set or two of phrases and say they have to read that many phrases in a minute...does that make sense? Or, you could just keep track of individual student times and they try to beat their own time every time until they "sound" like they are reading them fluently.
