Rainbow Reader Book Club-A Guided Reading Unit for HENRY AND MUDGE AND THE WILD WIND by Cynthia Rylant is a kit for your level J readers, also great for when teaching a weather theme. This kit will help you organize your guided reading time to get the most out of the time available. This unit includes a detailed, 2 week-long lesson plan, phonics cards, bookmarks, and vocabluary cards needed for the lesson, and a comprehension foldable. This is a great kit to introduce your kids to chapter books as it also includes a lesson of what a chapter book is and how to read it.
The book is not included in this kit but can be found at most libraries, Amazon, or Scholastic.

My first island (ok, classroom) was Kindergarten, which I taught for 3 years and then...I graduated to 1st grade and have been there ever since. LOVE It!!!
