This file includes an article (with pictures) about the rainforests of different parts of the world. There is a page of questions to ensure students understand the content of the article.
Also included in the file is an detailed activity asking the students to create a brochure that will educate other students and young people. There is also a standards based rubric that lends itself to a regular rubric.

This is a quick but engaging activity for a social studies or geography class. It also would work well in a cross-curricular course because of it's English links.
