This inquiry based lab gives students the opportunity to use Hot Wheels cars to learn about Newton's Laws of Motion, Speed, Momentum, and Force. The lab includes a worksheet that takes students through the scientific process and it has a detailed rubric for your students to follow. The lab includes a link to a VIDEO showing the steps for setting up the lab and it includes student examples. This is one of my favorite physics labs because it engages students and provides real life examples of physics.

This looks like a very good activity at the beginning of the year or at the end. It is fun and gives the students a great way to look science and motion.

Hi there, I have downloaded your lesson called: Ramp Racers and have been having a hard time getting to the video that you requested we watch on how to do this lab. Is there another way to find it on You Tube? Maybe by the name or something? Have a group of students that I would like to start on this ASAP. Thanks, Beth Taft
