This is a fun activity to help your students recognize simple 2D shapes. Included are 4 cards each for square, rectangle, triangle and circle. Arrange the cards around your room and then let students go on a scavenger hunt to find the cards and write them on their recording sheet. This is a fun small group activity that gets your children up and moving with a purpose and helps them practice seeing simple 2D shapes in real-life objects! Thank you for sharing. My kids love to write the room, and this will provide excellent reinforcement of 2D shapes as we move into our study of 3D shapes!
