This "Read the Room" activity pack, "The Knight Who Fought the Dragon", focuses on the /aw/ sound for the spellings -augh and -ough. It is perfect to use as a literacy station activity.
Includes: ** 10 "Read the Room" characters--knights and dragons
** 1 Recording sheet with appropiate labels: -augh and -ough
** 1 Writing extension activity
Print the pack on cardstock, then cut out, and place around your classroom. Students use a recording sheet to write the words they find as they "Read the Room". A writing component has also been provided to extend learning, as well as allow differentiation for different ability levels.
I decided after I purchased that is was too much ink to print, so I reviewed each sentence on the Promethian Board, then they looked for the same words on index cards around the room instead.
The use of ink is always a trade-off with items you purchase on TpT, I understand. I print all of my games and items that I use in the classroom on cardstock with a low-ink setting on my printer, then I laminate the pieces so that I can use the same station year after year and only have the expense of creating it one time.
