These Reader's Response Bookmarks are a time saver for the 2nd to 5th grade classrooms. They are bookmarks, literature response activities, assessment tools, and fit nicely in reading response journals.
How to use:
1- Use as portable graphic organizers. Teachers can give out a Reading Log Bookmark along with 5 or so Reader's Response Bookmarks for the week. Students can record their reading and time on the Reading Log Bookmark and then use one of the Reader's Response bookmarks to respond to their reading. (Teacher decides which objectives to focus on during the week and will choose the bookmark homework accordingly.)
2-These Reader's Response Bookmarks can be glued or taped into the student's Reader's Response Journals.
3-Teacher can copy a Reader's Response Bookmark on a transparency and work on the graphic organizer as a class.
4-Younger learners can illustrate their responses when appropriate.
It includes:
1- Reading Log Bookmark
71- Reader's Response Bookmarks (
these include 10 for vocabulary development,
14 graphic organizer bookmarks and 2 self-assessment bookmarks which can
be used to check for understanding :)
