Didn’t like this at all! Especially for the price, you would have thought there would have been more examples and explanations….I didn’t like it at all. Waste of $5.
I wish you had contact me with your concern prior to leaving this comment so I could help you. The mini lesson is very precise with multiple examples & explanations. I also have many more examples & student samples {with pictures} on my blog as stated in the description:

I have not began using this information yet, but I thought it was helpful looking at the pictures and reading the examples too. Do you by chance have just the student copies of things you have put into their notebooks? Like the skills for each lesson?
Good I'm glad :) If you ever have any questions about implementing the system do not hesitate to email me at ATeachersTreasure@gmail.com
As for the skills, I actually use all the mini lessons I have posted on here (the kids can copy them from the board or print them ahead of time from home). This year however, I treat the notebok like I would an anchor chart. I ask the kids what the skill is and we come up with the def. & examples together in class. It really depends on the grade leve you teach and the independent instructional level of your students.
I hope this help clarify things :)

I wasn't pleased with this at all. I felt like I spent too munch money for something that was difficult to follow and use to enhance my lesson.
What about it was difficult to follow? Is there something I can clarify or help explain better? What grade were you hoping to use this for? It is a basic set up and can be adapted. Please let me know what I can do to help. I hate that you feel that way.

Nice job. The product provided basic set up instructions for the interactive notebook and the pictures were helpful.

I noticed the student's notebook pages are colorful. Each paragraph was separated by a different color. Is that to add color to the journal or do the colors serve a particular purpose?
Hi :) The colors do not have a specific purpose. It does however help students to focus on one paragraph at a time. They box each paragraph to make it stand out for themselves and highlight the main concept/ppoint of it. If you have not yet seen the student sample pictures on my blog visit http://www.ateacherstreasure.com/2011/08/interactive-student-notebook-reading-my.html
You will see the notebook of one of my 7th graders. If you have anymore questions please ask :) Thank you for your purchase! I will be uploading my Reader's Workshop mini lesson in the next few days, be sure to come back and visit my store :)
