This is a series of worksheets that we created to use along with the Decodable Readers and Read Alongs available from Reading A to Z {www.readingatoz.com}. Each worksheet has at least 2 open response comprehension questions as well as a place for students to record 10 words found in the story that match the focus phonics skill.
These have become a favorite go to for my kiddos during literacy choice! They love that they can independently practice and I love that I can quickly check for understanding and comprehension! I love that they make a great companion for a great resource!

Great resource for small group or independent work!
I have been using these worksheets for tutoring since I already use the reading a to z books. I really like how the kids have to go back in and find certain words and answer comprehension questions.

Reading A to Z has made some changes on book titles and I am wondering if you can do the same to the comprehension sheet? 1) Jill and Gill is now Jill and Bill 2) Isabelle's Invitation is now Isabel's Invitation 3) Fran and the Prom Dress is now Fran goes to the Prom 4) The Spy Club is now Planet Blip-Blop. Please let me know if you would like my email address and I'll be happy to send it. Thank you.

Do you know what the price for a subscription is for these books? Your practice pages look awesome. Do you print a set of each book on your printer?
I just sent this home with my students who were reading Whisker Bill. It has two questions at the bottom about a character named Robin. There is not a character named Robin in the book that I got reading Reading A to Z. Parents wrote notes on their child's homework telling me this! I know I should have been proactive and proofread the paper beforehand -- this just never have had this problem. Is there another book I should be using or an updated version of this packet available? Thank you!
Try to update your adobe. That usually takes care of it. Hope that works for you.

I use these with my reading group. Have you developed worksheets for the rest of the phonics readers? I would love to purchase papers for the rest of them.
