MY CART
My reading block is organized into 4 15 minute chunks - lesson, read to self, buddy read, and choice. Each day students choose one choice. Because each of my students is assigned a class number, they simply cross out their number on the choice for that day. That way I know what they accomplished and they know to choose a different choice the next day. It's a simple alternative to rotation charts or choice boards. Saves paper, time, and my sanity.
