It's not just a book. It's not just an activity. It's a...book-tivity!
This file includes templates for four different reading response book-tivities. Each one integrates writing and drawing with a hands-on approach that will have students responding to their reading in a kinesthetic manner.
Templates are included in both color and black & white.
Please see the free preview for a full description of each book-tivity.

These look fantastic.
The student makes a little booklet which is very attractive.
My only suggestion would be to make the spaces between the lines larger as my Grade Twos would have trouble writing on those small lines.

A lot of prep work - but my older students are up for the challenge - great activity.

Hi Meredith! This one is more appropriate for younger students (Grades 2-4). The font is larger, line spacing for writing is larger and the content is more suitable for younger students. There is also more space for drawing pictures on these ones, to make it even more engaging.
Hi Terri! Sorry, there is not an assessment piece included. Honestly, I'm really not a fan of assessing everything that my students do. I really like some things to just be a learning opportunity, rather than an assessed piece of work. That is how I like to view these book-tivities. That being said though, I am going to think more on this and think about possibly including it with future book-tivities :)
Thanks so much for your purchase. Hope you have a great week,
Shelley

This looks like another great resource! Is it possible to edit the headings in the flip booklets?
