Spice up reading responses by incorporating reading response fandexes into reading workshop. A fandex is like it sounds...a book that fans out, much like the Brain Quest cards you fan out.
This product includes 46 template pages to create class wide or individual fandex books focused on the books they are reading! Students absolutely love making these! Cut fandex pages out, fasten in the bottom left hand corner, and voila, you have a fandex waiting for students' smart thinking to be recorded! They are a great way to motivate students to think more deeply and write about their reading.

There are 2 fandex pages on one printable 8 x 11.5 page
There are 6 blank fandex templates for you to customize for any activity or topic for individual or class books (expand to science, math etc...)
There are 40 reading response templates you can mix and match for students to use to write about their reading. This activity is perfect for whole group, small groups and independent reading!

Hi! Sorry it has taken so long for me to reply! I've been keeping busy with school... I'm not sure actually! Sometimes I have that problem when the file is to large for whatever network I am on. Can you try printing it off in chucnks, like pages 1-5, 6-10, etc... Or, maybe try a differernt PDF reader. Let me know if those suggestions don't work!

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have been a teacher in my mind for as long as I can remember! So many times, I fought with my sister and her friends to listen to me teach little lessons and grade fake papers. "School" was my favorite thing to play! Now I get to play real school everyday! I have been a "real" teacher for four years. My second home is in a bright, colorful third-grade classroom in Iowa full of bright, colorful little learners.
