Big on focus, but tight on space...Me too! SO I created a focus wall for the side of my teacher desk! This 46 page file includes:
*Header cards for Story title, Genre, Comprehension Skill, and Comprehension Strategy
*Book cover cards for each story {these can be displayed after reading too!
*Comprehension strategy cards with the Scott-Foresman definition
*Comprehension Skill cards with the SF definition
*Genre cards with SF definition
*Focus Wall sign
Each card is zebra and hot pink themed
You can display each section or pick and choose!
{This Focus Wall is for Reading Street 2003 adoption}

Absolutely LOVE this! But seems like some of the reading comp skills are missing. Can you fix it? Thanks!

What a fantastic way to make use of the limited space we all have in our rooms! I think bulletin board space is a challenge for all teachers! I like the compact format!

I love the zebra theme and even though I am a first grade teacher, I can make use of them!

I can't wait to use these next year! Our Reading Street has a few different stories. One example, instead of Iris and Walter we have The Twin Club, how can I add my story pictures into this format? Thank you!
I teach first grade and thought that some of your posters would also work for me. We recently learned that we need to post something like a Focus Wall in our rooms. We all panicked until I found wonderful teachers like yourself who have already done all the work for us! Thanks!
