This file contains 36 worksheets I have created (four each for the six stories in the original version of Reading Street plus twelve worksheets that work with the three new stories in the new version of Reading Street) plus a direction sheet for Scott Foresman Reading Street for Grade 1 Unit 1.
The stories included are: Mama's Birthday Present, The Dot, Mister Bones, The Lady in the Moon, Peter's Chair, Henry and Mudge.
2011 updated stories: Cinderella, A Trip to Washington, D.C., and A Southern Ranch.
Each story has the following worksheets:
* Making Words: A making words sheet with cut apart letters and an answer key.
* Rainbow Words: Students rainbow write their spelling words inside a cloud. (Have students write their spelling word in pencil and then trace over the pencil in three different crayons.)
* Scrabble Spelling: Students add the value of their spelling words on the scrabble tiles.
* Word Search: Students find the 10 spelling words hidden in a word search.
Files are PDFS in a ZIP file.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Subject Area:
I've been teaching for seven years. I taught in a 2nd and 3rd grade multiage class for one year. I ran our school computer lab and taught technology lessons to all students in K-5 for two years. The 2012-2013 school year will be my fifth year teaching first grade, and love it!
