For teachers who use Reading Street here is your one stop shop for practice using Reading Street spelling words. This kit includes I Have Who Has games for each story in Unit 2 of the first grade series.
But even if you don't use Reading Street these games could be used during any word study activity in your classroom. This first kit covers all the long vowels. Here's what's included.
Game 1: Unit 2 Story 1: A Big Fish for Max (sh, th, a in ball)
Game 2: Unit 2 Story 2: The Farmer in the Hat (long a, soft c and g)
Game 3: Unit 2 Story 3: Who Works Here (long i, digraphs wh, ch, tch)
Game 4: Unit 2 Story 4: The Big Circle (long o)
Game 5: Unit 2 Story 5: Life in the Forest (long u and e, inflected ending ed)
Game 6: Unit 2 Story 6: Honey Bees (long e: e, ee)
These can be used whole group and in small group. They make a perfect pairing to the Reading Street Decodable Readers or the Reading Street Guided Reading book sets. Each game comes with 30 cards and a storage label. Click the preview to take a look.
