What a fun activity for the primary grades. It can also be used as a quick assessment, as to understands what a word means.

Cute! My students will enjoy this. I printed 2 of the 2nd page (read words/nonsense words headers) so 2 students can draw cards from a pile, place their cards in their own read or nonsense piles and see who has the most real words when all have been read. Thank you.
Ask Corrie McCall a question. They will receive an automated email and will return to answer you as soon as possible.

I saw your posting on the Sellers Forum page of Teachers Pay Teachers; so, I thought I would look at your freebie. It is very well done.
I have a couple of suggestions that might help you to better market your products. First, add a second page which is a directions or suggestions page. (Cut the cards out; children put word in proper category, etc.) List several ways you use this product in your classroom. Never assume that a buyer knows how, why, or when to use your product. Use the footer to put the copyright symbol, your name and date of creation on EVERY page. Items, especially free ones, have been "stolen" from TPT and posted on other sites to be sold. You have to protect all of your creations. Also, number your pages.
Since you teach in the primary grades, I’d appreciate your input on my freebie listed below. I like feedback from a variety of teachers.
Thank you so much for your suggestions and comments! I am still trying to learn all about this copyright stuff and I really appreciate the help!

I have a question. So, umm, if you make up a word, that's not a real word, but it make sense better than the real word, would you call the word nonsense, or real? Does that make sense?
I would still call in a nonsense word if it is not spelled the correct way. For example "nit" would be an nonsense word because it is not spelled "knit." Hope that answers your questions!
This is my second year teaching. I have taught first grade both years. I worked Centri-kid camps for three years in college and gained a lot of valuable experience from that.
