There were many people affected during the Reconstruction era. This cooperative learning project allows students to choose one of the important characters of Reconstruction (Carpetbaggers, Scalawags, Former Plantation Owners, Former Slaves, Radical Republican, Union Military Representative, Southerners, or Sharecroppers) and create a life-sized image of the character, as well as develop a realistic charachter description! It can be used as a cross-curriculuar ELA/SS project, or just as a review for the Reconstruction era.
Included is a student guide, a grading rubric, and a rubric "key" that allows you to translate the rubric score to a grade on a 100-point scale.
