Four quizzes, easy to correct, but challenging for students. Generally speaking, if they've read the material, they'll do well in the quizzes.
I began teaching in 1975 and retired in 2007. Early in that 32 years, I tried using all sorts of educational materials created by other experts. I did not consider myself an educational “expert” of any kind at that time, but I definitely had a pretty clear notion of what materials I actually needed to make my style of teaching successful. Six or seven years into the profession, still unable to find anything that really fit, I finally started cutting my own path and producing my own materials. That adventure led me to success. Thank you. I'm finally getting a little more serious about selling. I've got a few more products now. Please have a look at my new materials. I'm especially interested in knowing how people feel about the close reading study guides and my free product in connection with them. It explains how and why I've developed them and how I've used them. I also have prepared a free product that explains my methods of teaching writing. I try to keep the work load manageable, but English/Language Arts always runs into paperwork. Any comments you have will be greatly appreciated.
