I created this process to offer students an alternative way to multiply by eights. First, I model multiplying 8 by 1 2 3 4 and 5. Then I model multiplying 8 by 6 7 8 9 and 10. Last I model multiplying 8 by 11 and 12. This structured and sequential approach grants students another resource and builds on their math fluency.
