Responsibility is an important skill that all students need to learn to be successful at home, school, and in the community. Included are 30 responsibility choice cards to help students identify the difference between responsible and irresponsible choices. I have included a list of ways that the choice cards can be used in the classroom to help students learn and understand the aspects of being responsible. Also, there are six blank cards that you can use to add your own responsibility situations that may benefit your students. You may print out these cards in color and laminate them to use multiple times. Responsibility is one of the traits often taught in character education programs and these cards can be a nice addition to implementing character ed. in the classroom. Awesome idea to use these as a sorting game. I also have had students sort them in buckets (a green one that has good choices on it and a read one that has bad choices on it). The students love doing it. Thank you for your feedback :)

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been a School Social Worker for a total of eleven years. I currently work in a small district in Illinois in two schools which include preK through 5th grade. As I am the only social worker in my two schools (and there is no counselor), I provide counseling and social skills training to all students who need it. I also provide social skills classroom groups for all classes from preK to 5th grade.
