This activity allows students to take a "road trip" by putting their measurement skills to the test and utilizing ratio, unit rate, and scale to complete a variety of tasks. You'll need to supply road maps for this activity.

Throughout those years, she has taught 6th grade gifted science, 7th grade language arts, and is now teaching 6th grade English and Social Studies at the West Chester Area School District, Pennsylvania. She was an active member of the Curriculum Cabinet Committee for the Coatesville Area School District, Pennsylvania. She also assisted in creating and implementing the middle school accelerated English curriculum for the West Chester Area School District. Lastly, Jane has coached girls' middle school basketball,track,volleyball and lacrosse. Jennifer has been teaching for 10 years at the middle school level. Throughout those years, she has taught 6th grade science, mathematics, and language arts for the Coatesville Area School District, Pennsylvania. She served as mathematics department chair and was an active member of the Leadership Team, Liaison Committee, and was the head of the Standards and Assessment Committee. Jennifer is currently teaching 6th, 7th, and 8th grade mathematics, and is the mathematics department chair at her middle school for the West Chester Area School District, Pennsylvania.
