I created a mnemonic to help my students memorize the roles of the president. I then put this mnemonic into the form of a Middle Eastern-style rap song. Here is the mnemonic:
The "Commander in Chief SCALPED ME"
It stands for:
Commander in Chief
S-tate (Chief of)
C-itizen (Chief)
A-dministrator (Chief)
L-egislator (Chief)
P-arty (Chief of)
E-xecutive (Chief)
D-iplomat (Chief)
M-anager of the
E-conomy (single role)
My students enjoyed the song, and a few even took the mp3 file home on their thumb drives to be able to use it to study for the test.
I've included the actual song itself (made on Garage Band software), as well as a lyric sheet. I hope this mnemonic is as helpful to your students as it is to mine! -I Love Gov

You've really got some interesting stuff... I love the mnemonic, and think it is a great tool even without the song! But I also really enjoyed the song :-)
