Use the vowel cube and the alphabet mat to play. Give each child a vowel mat and a vowel cube. Or, if you have them play in groups, use one cube per group. Cut out beforehand if you wish.
The children will roll the cube and cover up the vowel they rolled on their vowel mat with pennies or another manipulative of your choice. The first student to cover all of their vowels wins the game. This is great for upper and lowercase letter recognition, as well as turn taking!
