This listing includes all parts you will need to create a Roll and Answer literacy center. Questions included in the center are:
What is the title of the book?
Who is the author?
Where is the setting?
Who is the illustrator?
Who are the characters?
Did you enjoy the story? Why or why not?
The center can be seen "in action" at my blog lifeinfirstgrade1.blogspot.com
Thank you for sharing a freebie I can use with my kiddos at home ;O)

I have been teaching first grade for twenty years. I love to work in center with my students, but sometimes the activites can get a little stale for me from year to year. I need to add a little spice! That's exactly was I have seen on your web site. Your passion for your profession is obvious!
What a fabulous resource - thank you for sharing! I was looking for a fun way to engage my son with the book he brings home to read from school. I'm sure he will love this!

I have used similar questions typed up and done with a paper cube, but this is so much more fun and practical for us. Thank you for sharing!
I love this! It just *looks* fun, and will make kids want to answer those questions! :o) Such a simple way to make a worksheet come alive! I could see other versions of this, too, for later in the year, like "What is the problem in the story?", questions about Beginning, Middle, and End... etc. Thanks!!

Great idea! I love that you glued the questions into a divided tray. I almost threw a tray out...thankfully I did not and now I have a great use for it. Thanks for sharing.

I love this- I bought serving trays years ago and they are just stored away. I am printing now and going to make them when i get to school.

Hi, I love this game. Can you email me an editable copy if you don't mind? I teach Kindergarten, and may have to adapt the questions just a bit. I found the containers at Dollar Tree. Did you tape or glue the questions down in each little part of the containter? What are the directions to this activity? Do the kids toss the dice in that little empty container in the middle of the serving platter? And then do they write or draw the answer to the question on the recording sheet according to whatever the dice lands on? I would love to use this. Look forward to hearing from you soon.
