This is a Powerpoint based on the Era of Blues and Jazz. It is an integrated lesson that is cross curricular with concepts in reading, poetry, art, and music. It was used after reading the book Satchmo's Blues about Louis Armstrong. The culmination of the Powerpoint is a art project based on the artwork of Romare Bearden, a prominent artist from this period of time. My students loved this project and always had fun.
