These activities are designed to help young students master rounding to the nearest ten and nearest hundred. The poster and 14 worksheet activities were originally written to support my "Rounding Robots" power point, but can stand alone. Your students will love, and remember, the Strong Man of rounding, who is powerful enough to push a number up to the next digit, and the Wimpy Guy, who is content to leave the number alone, and is not strong enough to push it to the next digit.

As an elementary teacher for 34 years, I have struggled with a lack of quality materials that provide the necessary practice for concept mastery. It has been my experience that many textbooks and commercially produced materials do not provide the depth of practice and repetition required for student mastery. I have been writing most of my own supplemental materials for years, striving to meet the needs of students who need more than one or two exposures to a concept in order to achieve mastery. My many years in the classroom have provided me opportunities to work with changing curriculum standards and increasing demands for student performance. I have worked with second and third graders throughout my career and have a very solid understanding of the learning process and the needs of young students.
