A great way to review possessive nouns, as well as distinguish between plural nouns and possessives (something kids always seem to do - add an apostrophe whenever they see "s"!). Students sort cattle (phrases) between the Possessive Ranch and Plural Ranch. Then, as added practice, students sort cowhands and equipment between the two ranches, where students look at sentences that use both possessives and plurals.
This is a great review/discussion starter for students when working with possessive nouns to distinguish between plural and possessive. Great to use for small groups or literacy center. An answer key is included so students can self check.
