This is a quick check-off grading rubric designed for critical lens essays. Use it in conjunction with the NYS Regents chart for Task 4: Meaning, Development, Organization, Language Use, and Conventions. I use it for a 60 pt. essay as part II of a test; however, you can easily adapt this for any point distribution. For example, you can make each of the categories worth 20 pts., totaling 100 pts.
