Your students will love helping Rudolph round numbers to the nearest 10, 100, or 1,000! This differentiated activity is designed around the Common Core Standards for grades 2-4! The activities are designed to help students estimate in base ten by rounding. Common Core standards for Third grade say students will use place value understanding to round whole numbers to the nearest 10 or 100.
Tier 1 is designed based on the concept of rounding to the nearest ten.
Tier 2 is based on the concept of rounding to the nearest hundred.
Tier 3 is based on the concept of rounding to the nearest thousand.
With this packet you will receive 30 pages that include an essential question poster, a student pretest, a student task card, teaching instructions, three sets of differentiated activity cards, and a student recording sheet for assessment.
